10 Small Business Grants You Need To Know

Finding funding and support that are available for your small business can be overwhelming but with our compilation of 10 opportunities below, you may be able to take advantage of some great initiatives.

EMPLOYING AND TRAINING

Small Business Grants (NSW)
Provides small business owners in NSW who don’t pay payroll tax a payment of $2,000 for each new full-time position employed in your business.

Provides employers who hire eligible job seekers funding of up to $10,000 to hire, train and retain job seekers into sustainable jobs.

Australian Apprenticeship Incentives Program
Provides employers with funding of between $750 and $4,000 to employ an apprentice.

Growth Services
Provides businesses who have a growth opportunity with access to experienced growth Advisers who will work with them to develop their unique growth plan. Advisers will mentor the business through the implementation of their plan, facilitating access to knowledge and expertise, research, funding and other assistance.

Better Business Partnership
Provides businesses in Sydney’s North Shore region with access to a range of services to help them reduce energy, water consumption and waste.

IMPORTING AND EXPORTING

Export Market Development Grants (EDMG)
Provides exporters who are aiming to increase their international sales with reimbursements of up to 50% of promotional expenses. Promotional expenses must be over $15,000 to a maximum of $150,000.

Efic Small Business Export Loan
Provides small to medium export businesses with loans of between $20,000 to $350,000 to cover up to 80% of the costs to secure an export contract or purchase order with an overseas buyer. Eligibility requirements apply. Read more.

Provides Australian start-up businesses with a workspace for up to 90 days in a global innovation hub. The space includes access to coaching, investors, customers, training opportunities, tailored networking events and state-of-the-art facilities to develop their business model.
